Species account from Moths of Glamorgan
One of the more regular migrant Hawk-moths from southern Europe and Africa. Recorded in May/June and again in August/September although there is a record at Kenfig NNR in February after a mild spell with southerly winds. Very irregular visitor to Glamorgan although two were recorded in each of the years 1931, 1949 & 2004.
