The Glamorgan Moth Group are a group of local moth enthusiasts devoted to the study and conservation of moths within the Vice County of Glamorgan, in south Wales.
Species account from Moths of Glamorgan (Gilmore, Slade & Stewart, 2009):
A very localised species only found where there are good populations of the larval foodplant Golden-rod, and none have been recorded in association with saltmarsh habitats. First recorded at an unspecified site in 1857 (EJ), then at Margam 1922 (CGL). Modern records of singleton adults are more numerous with records from Fall Bay 25.vii.1982 (BJMc), Bridgend 1991 & 31.vii.1992 (MH), Stanleytown 24.vi.1997 (MP), Kenfig 16.vi.2006 (SJM, RD) and Gorseinon 20.vii.2004 (BS). The only larval record was of 26 found at Mynydd Garn-goch 24.vi.1999 (BS). Main flight period from mid-June to July.
