One of the commonest autumnal species, flying from August through to the beginning of October, and found in almost all habitats. Particularly fond of Ivy blossom and good numbers have been recorded using torchlight to search the pungent blossoms after dusk. Larvae feed during the winter on low vegetation and have been found by turning over logs and other debris.
