Species account from Moths of Glamorgan (Gilmore, Slade & Stewart, 2009):
A rather distinctive moth, being orange with a white triangle in the middle of the costa. Univoltine flying in July and August, although there is a late record for one found at Whitchurch, Cardiff in October. Found in hedgerows and gardens on rosaceous trees and shrubs. In Glamorgan it is mainly confined to the Gower Peninsula with only six records outside this area, two of those being historical.
