Species account from Moths of Glamorgan
(Gilmore, Slade & Stewart, 2009):

One record: Merthyr Tydfil, 30.iii.1907 (GF). A rare and local species occurring mainly in Southern Britain and frequenting woodland habitats. The species flies from July onwards and then hibernates as an adult, found on a range of deciduous trees.
