The larvae feed on larch, and this species is likely to be more widespread in plantations across the county. Cyfarthfa Park, Merthyr Tydfil 1925 (GF), Mynydd Merthyr, Aberdare 1 on 16.vii.1998 (MJB, ME) and Roath, Cardiff 1 on 6.viii.2002 (DRWG).
